Stand-up comedian
Eva Evans
Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-based stand-up blending Caribbean storytelling with raw personal honesty — dog mom, comedian, producer, writer.
The question everybody asks
What is 'Mascara and Spliffs'?
It's the monthly show Eva Evans produces herself, on top of performing. Her own bio bills her as 'Dog Mom/Comedian/Producer/Writer', and the producing credit is part of that.
The bits
Caribbean Storytelling
Jamaican-born material delivered as storytelling, the Caribbean thread running through her Brooklyn stand-up.
Hilarious Yet Respectful
The Independent singled out her material on the LGBT+ community as 'hilarious yet respectful' — edgy territory worked without punching down.
Mascara and Spliffs
The monthly show she books, produces and runs under her own name.
Introducing... Eva Evans
Her Netflix Is A Joke set, billed as 'Introducing... Eva Evans' (2025).
Dog Mom
She introduces herself as 'Dog Mom/Comedian/Producer/Writer', and the dog-mom half is not a throwaway.
Englewood To Brooklyn
The route in her own words — JA, Englewood, then Brooklyn, NY — feeding the personal honesty in the act.
